Key2Green January Edition: Things To Keep Busy & What’s Going On At Key2Green
So Close…And So Far Away! - Things To Do While You Wait For Green To Return…
Hello Key2Green Family, So close…and yet so far away!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday spent with friends and family and enjoyed some much-needed time off. December was one heck of a cold month! Thankfully, January brought back a little sunshine and more bearable temperatures. It looks like we may be headed into another cold stretch, though—so stay warm and hang in there.
While winter has our lawns on pause, we know many of us are already dreaming of spring—warmer days, fresh air, and that first pop of green returning to the yard.
As we all wait for winter to loosen its grip, here are a few easy (and even fun) things you can do to pass the time and get ready for the season ahead:
Plan ahead: Think about how you want your lawn to look this year—thicker turf, fewer weeds, fewer pests, or all of the above. A little planning now makes spring even smoother. Have a question? Feel free to reach out to Key2Green anytime! I always love talking grass!
Tidy up when you can: If weather allows, clear fallen branches or debris so your lawn is ready to wake up strong.
Give your equipment some love: Sharpen mower blades, check spreaders, and make sure everything’s ready for spring use.
Cook / Bake: Choose a night (or a few!) and try that new recipe you’ve been wanting to make. I personally love baking fresh bread—there’s nothing better than the smell, or the taste, of warm bread straight out of the oven. Feeling adventurous? Check out a fun website I recently came across called the Random Recipe Generator. Just visit www.therandomrecipe.com/food, click “Generate Random Recipe,” and see what happens!
Excercise: Sorry—I had to try 😄. If you can muster the willpower and the sun is out, throw on a warm layer or two and go for a walk to get the blood flowing. Even light exercise during the winter months can help boost mood, increase energy levels, and improve circulation—plus, a little fresh air can go a long way on cold days.
Dream big: Picture backyard barbecues, kids playing, pets running, and a greener lawn under your feet—it’s closer than it feels.
Rest assured, while your lawn is resting, Key2Green is already preparing behind the scenes so we can hit the ground running when the growing season begins.
Spring will be here before we know it—and we can’t wait to help bring the green back to your lawn.
Until then, stay warm and let’s Unlock Your Lawn With The Key2Green!
While Lawns Rest, Key2Green Is Already Preparing For The Season Ahead!
Hello Key2Green Family,
You might be surprised to hear this, but while winter still has us bundled up, Key2Green is already hard at work preparing for the 2026 season.
Over the coming weeks - believe it or not - I’ll be purchasing fertilizer and treatment supplies and will be reaching out to both existing and potential customers to lock in 2026 lawn care services early. Planning ahead allows us to secure materials, stay efficient, and continue delivering the quality service you expect.
Here’s some good news for our current customers:
👉 It’s looking like rates will remain the same, and I’ll be happy to honor your 2025 pricing for the 2026 season when you renew early.
Key2Green is also excited to be investing in new equipment featuring the latest aeration technology. This upgrade allows me to offer what I call “Precision Aeration”—a lighter, more advanced approach that delivers excellent results while being gentler on your lawn. Benefits include less surface disruption, no messy core cleanup, and reduced risk of damage compared to larger, heavier, destructive machines—all while opening up and allowing for water, air, and nutrients to get down to those grass roots and help your lawn improve.
On a personal note, as a homeowner myself, I’m right there with you—counting down the days until the lawn starts growing again and I can get back outside, fire up the mower, and enjoy that first cut of the season. Spring will be here before we know it.
If you’d like to secure your spot for 2026, keep your current rate, or learn more about Precision Aeration, feel free to reply to this email, — contact —, or call me — or keep an eye out for my call in the coming weeks. I’m always happy to answer questions and help you plan for a great season ahead.
As always, thank you for trusting Key2Green with your lawn. I truly appreciate your continued support and look forward to Unlocking Your Lawn With The Key2Green!
Warm regards,
Jay Pompano
