Key2Green FAQ: Lawn Care, Pests & Weed Answers

When you use Key2Green for your lawn care services, you’ll be working with me - owner/operator, not a franchisee of a regional or national corporation with no local ties to your community, your neighbors … or you! I stand behind every treatment I apply and every service I offer.

My goal always is to improve the health and appearance of a customer’s property. To achieve that, I’ll thoroughly analyze the current state of your lawn and recommend services and treatments customized to address its unique needs.

Sure! Key2Green offers an organic, pesticide-free program which will provide natural greening nitrogen and iron to thicken up your lawn. There are additional naturally safe options that can help your lawn ‘outcompete’ the weeds and make your lawn thick, green, and naturally safe without the use of pesticides. For these requests, along with Key2Green’s estimate, we share to the customer labels of the product we plan to use, and allow them to approve/reject them, and we adjust to their specific requests.

No, you do not need to be home for your scheduled treatments. Since all my work is performed on the exterior of your property, I can complete the application as long as I have access to the lawn. I ask that you please ensure any needed access to gates are unlocked and pets are kept indoors on your scheduled day. Once the service is complete, I will leave a physical lawn marker and summary of the treatment performed

A lawn can be “ruined” for a number of reasons; for example, over/under-treatment, disease misdiagnosis, poor soil balance, incorrect pest identification, inferior products applied, etc. I’ll conduct a professional analysis of what your lawn needs to recover – and thrive!

I use only the highest-quality fertilizers and insecticides, applying them following best practices in the lawn care industry. I don't cut corners or ‘skimp’ on product. By charging a fair price for every visit, I ensure your lawn receives the full, professional-grade dosage of nutrients and protection it needs to actually stay healthy and green

Often, 'free' or heavily discounted treatments are used as a ‘loss leader’, where the cost is simply shifted to other services or the quality of the product is reduced. At Key2Green, I use premium-grade fertilizers and professional-strength treatments from day one. You pay for a high-quality application, and that is exactly what you get—no hidden costs or 'gimmick' introductory rates

There are three levels in your lawn: grass, roots, and soil. You can see the weeds, crabgrass, and bare patches, of course, but many of your lawn’s worst enemies lurk beneath the surface – nasty pests or just some really poor dirt below! It’s my job to find out what your lawn’s unique needs are and customize the best program for it. My goal is to make your lawn the best-looking one on the block, unless, of course, I’m already servicing your next-door neighbor’s house…then it’ll be a tie!
