What are they?

They are small, dark-furred mammals, often associated with the mounds of soil ("molehills") left on the surface after they dig their tunnels.

Mole lawn damage includes unsightly molehills, surface ridges, and a vast/intricate system of tunnels they create while hunting for worms, which disrupt the lawn's surface and can kill grass by damaging the root system.
